Users of WhatsApp Android beta can now request for Rs. in their contact list. This feature has been observed during testing. Whatsapp Payment now allows the user for money transfer by whatsapp. The ‘request money’ feature is still visible but it does not work. Apart from this, this feature of WhatsApp is limited to the UPI ID and QR code. This is part of the Android Beta Update v 2.18.113, and is reportedly far from most user access. For information, please tell us that the UPA-based payment feature is going through a period of testing in India.
How to Transfer Money or Request Money by WhatsApp Payment?
To use the new ‘request money’ feature, v2.18.113 must be in the variant. The user has to go to Settings – Payments – New payment option. After this, you will have to select two ‘UPI ID’ and ‘scan QR code’. After verification, select recipient apart from ‘Pay Money’ and ‘Send Money’, the option of ‘request money’ can also be selected. Remember, the facility of sending money only was introduced only before.
How will I know when my recipient has received the money?
The one you requested to send money user will get an SMS. It can also be from the bank or from the app like ‘PhonePe’. It depends on the user which UI they have adopted. These people get the notification in Google Apps for faster people. User can see the past transactions in ‘Payment History’ section.
