India vs Ireland, A Vital Match for Virat Kohli –

Virat Kohli’s tour to England is crucial in the sense that the Indian captain needs just 17 runs to reach the score of 2000, fastest ever by any player in T20 Internationals.  At present McCullum is at the top of the list having reached 2000 runs in his 66th innings. But the strangest thing is Virat Kohli is yet to score a century in the T 20 international format of cricket although he is among the highest run-getters.

In the current tour, there will be two India Vs Ireland matches. The first match was totally one-sided as the visiting team India scored 208/5 while the hosts Ireland were restricted to a total of 132/9 at Dublin. Peter Chase, the dynamic bowler did the job for Ireland as he picked the wickets of MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli at crucial junctures with impressive figures of 4/35. On the Indian side bowler, Kuldeep Yadav did a remarkable job by claiming 4 wickets for 21 runs. Personally, Virat tour started on a disappointing note as he was gone for a duck but he is happy as the team started the tour on a winning note. Currently, Virat is placed at the 8th position as a batsman in the ICC T20 international rankings.
