STET is also known as Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test and is conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board for teachers at various classes. As there is stet in Bihar, similarly there is tet exam in other states like UPTET, MTET. The TET exam was started by the government of India in 2011 to improve the standards in teaching. This examination is conducted to fulfill the objectives of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. This exam is conducted to recruit teachers for secondary (class 9-10) and higher secondary levels (class 11-12). In addition, it also conducts the examination of physical teachers in Bihar.

Process
This exam is offline where there are two paper exams at different levels, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The medium of both the papers in Hindi. There are 150 questions in both the papers which get 2:30 hours to solve. There is no negative marking.
Qualification
The candidate must be a citizen of India to appear in this exam. Along with this, he should also have a domicile of Bihar. Also, the category-wise age limit has been fixed to appear in this exam. It is mandatory for the candidates to be a graduate in the subject from which they want to give the exam. In addition, a B.Ed degree is also required.

Apart from Sanskrit and Urdu, questions are asked on the basis of the graduation as well as the school level of the candidate in all other subjects.

Except for computer science, the rest of the subjects are of graduation as well as higher secondary level.
For Qualify
Consequently, general category candidates need 50% to qualify and other category candidates need 45% to qualify.

As a result, after qualifying, the candidate can apply to any secondary and higher secondary school in Bihar. Also, this planning process is done by the Government of Bihar.
Validity
