Personal Details
Neena Gupta was born in New Delhi on 4 July 1959. The name of her father is R.N.Gupta. She attends The Lawrence school Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh. Further she did her master degree her master’s degree and M.Phil in Sanskrit and is an alumnus of National school of drama, Delhi.
Neena Gupta started her career with the movie Yeh Nazdeekiyan but she was not in the lead role. She got her biggest break in the world of TV in the year 1985 with the TV show ‘Khandaan’. She started her filmy career in the movie ‘Jaane bhi do yaaron’ in which she played the role of secretary. Besides this, she has worked in many films like ‘sath-sath’ , ‘mandi’, ‘ Aadat se majboor’ , ‘ Utsav’ , ‘ susman’ , ‘ dristi’ and many more. She also worked in International movies like ‘Gandhi’ in 1982. In this movie, she played the role of Mahatma Gandhi’s niece.
She ran a production company ‘Sahaj Productions’ and also hosted in the TV series ‘The weakest link’ and she got popularity with the show ‘Jassi jaisi Koi Nahi. She directed TV series like ‘Saans’ in 1999, ‘ Siski’ in 2000, etc.

Personal life
Neena’s professional life had many ups and downs. She got her third affair ( according to reports her first affair was with Alok Nath and her second affair with Sharang dev) with famous cricketer of West Indies, Vivian Richard. They loved each other. Discussion of their affair used to be in headlines. But they never got married. Meanwhile, Neena Gupta may never have married Vivian Richard but she became a mother of Richard’s child. And then she faced many in her life.
Neena’s father support her and she gave the birth of a baby girl. The name of that girl is Masaba. Neena has raised her daughter alone and now Masaba is the famous fashion designer. During an interview she said, “ I was sure that I would not ask anyone for money or anything. I will do anything. I am not ashamed to do anything. Learned from my mother. I will swap. I will wash dishes but I will not ask anyone. That’s why I had that confidence.”
Recently her autobiography ‘Sach Kahun To’ has published. She revealed many truth related to her life in that book. The one truth she revealed is about Satish Kaushik. She wrote when I was pregnant then Satish Kaushik wanted to marry me. He said, “ Don’t worry, if the child is born with dark skin, you can just say it’s mine and we will get married. Nobody will suspect a thing.
During a video chat with actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, she said, “I would start and wonder, ‘What is there to write about my life? Why would people be interested in reading it?’ Then the lockdown happened… And I did a lot of thinking about my life and decided to resume writing again.”Everything is out of my system now. Things I was hiding for so many years. That’s a big relief. I think, maybe after reading the book, even if one person doesn’t make the mistake which I did if they feel ‘yeah, we should not do this, it’ll be worth it,”
Like this, she has shared several things about her life in that autobiography.
In 2002, she met with Vivek Mehra . After the marriage proposal of Vivek Mehra, she git married with him in 2008 in the age of 49. Now Neena and Vivek lives happily together.

Neena has balanced her professional and personal life. She received many awards in all field include OTT platform.
In the year 1994, Neena received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film “Who chokri” .
On 1999, she received the screen award for best actress in television for “saans”
In 2019 she got a lot of fame from her movie “Badhai ho”. She received the Zee Cine award for the Best Extraordinary couple of the year and the Filmfare award for the best actress. In this movie, she played the role of a pregnant lady with Gajraj Rao, much to the disappointment of their sons.
In 2020, she got firmware OTT award for Best Supporting actor of series ‘ Panchayat’ ( comedy series).
