Sidharth Malhotra Shared ‘Shershaah’ On Kargil Vijay Diwas

The day in the history of India, which brings tears to the eyes of every Indian, was the Kargil war of 1999. That was the beginning of Kargil Vijay Diwas. This war started between the armies of both countries to thwart the nefarious conspiracies of Pakistan. Because, Infiltrators were sent to the borderline to plot a very big attack from the side of Pakistan.

Accordingly, to thwart his attempt, the Government of India sent 2,00,000 soldiers in the name of ‘Operation Vijay’. This war lasted for about 60 days. After that, he war officially ended on 26 July 1999. And then, India historically won this war. But in that war, 550 soldiers sacrificed their lives, and close to 1400 were injured.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26th July in honor of those great warriors of the Kargil War. After that war, Captain Vikram Batra (posthumously), Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey (posthumously), Rifleman Sanjay Kumar, and Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav were awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest gallantry award. Today 26th July 2021 is completing 22 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Big leaders and army chiefs of the country pay tribute to the immortal martyrs at the National War Memorial in Delhi.

According to the information, President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a visit to Ladakh from July 25 to 28. During this, he will pay tribute at the Kargil War Memorial on the 22nd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Sidharth Malhotra is playing the role of Captain Vikram Batra

The trailer of Karan Johar’s production ‘Shershaah’ has also surfaced. In this, Sidharth Malhotra is playing the character of Kargil hero Vikram Batra, a Param Vir Chakra awardee. The 24-year-old youth attained Veergati, showing unprecedented bravery in the Kargil War. His father G.L. Batra says that his son’s commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Y.K. Joshi had bestowed Vikram with the nickname ‘Shershaah’. Captain Vikram Batra often used to say this – Yeh Dil Maange More.

Sidharth Malhotra has shared the trailer of Shershaah on his Instagram account. He wrote that it is a matter of honor for me that I am presenting the hero of that Kargil war. The trailer of the film was released in Dras itself. During this, many actors associated with the film were also present.
