Winner of Bigg Boss Season 11 – Shilpa Shinde beat Hina Khan to take home the trophy and a prize money of ₹ 44 lakh.
While Shilpa was the star of the night, a considerable amount of limelight was also on Hina Khan, who was on the list of top two contestants. Puneesh Sharma was the first of the four finalists to be eliminated while Vikas Gupta was the second finalist to leave the house.
With her cooking skills and funny nature, Shilpa managed to win several hearts inside as well as outside the house. Her humility and mature outlook also won her appreciation and respect from Salman. Salman Khan is the host of the Big Boss live tv show. Undermined and misunderstood, Shilpa was often blamed for not participating in any task, but she managed to stay true to the game.
Shilpa’s unpleasant equation and the constant battle with co-contestant Vikas also made her popular with the viewers, thus earning her the love and respect of the audience.
The one who was threatened to be banned from ever working in television to the winner of Bigg Boss 11, she believes that life has changed for good. Eyes filled with tears of joy, Shilpa said, “It has been an unbelievable journey. I have gone through a lot and leaving it all behind, I am only hoping that my life will be filled with a new ray of happiness. I have never been a fan of Bigg Boss and it seems surreal holding this trophy at the moment. Staying in the house locked up with no connection to the real world, was a different experience. I am taking this as a new lease of life and I am sure only good things will happen with me now.”
