Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ may feature ” Intelligent Scanner” to unlock the device

Samsung’s Galaxy S line of smartphones were the most successful series ever  produced by the company and it  helped the  company to take over the smartphone market and become the market leader. Mind blowing feature of Samsung Galaxy S9

Like its predecessors the new Samsung S9 will have some new mind blowing features. The most recently discovered feature is “ Intelligent Scan”, which uses the combination of iris and facial recognition technology. This new feature was discovered in an APK teardown of the settings app of the Oreo beta for the Galaxy Note 8.

The “Intelligent Scan” feature is said to improve the accuracy and security of the mobile device and can be used in extreme or low light settings. There is a possibility that along with S9 the company will also introduce this feature to its other flagship smartphones like Galaxy Note.

With this new “ Intelligent Scan” feature, Samsung’s main intent is to take on its competitor and market leader Apple’s Face Id, which has released in its new iPhone X limited edition. This isn’t the first time the company tried its hands on facial recognition. Samsung’s version of facial recognition is less secure and can be fooled easily, Face Id, on the other hand, is more precise and accurate.

Both Galaxy S9 and S9+  will feature bezel-less screens, a Snapdragon 845 process and with 6GB RAM and 512 GB of storage space. The smartphone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo. If rumours are believed, Samsung Galaxy S9 line up will have improved cameras.

Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the Mobile World Congress in the last week of February, 2018. The launch will happen on February 25 in Barcelona, one day prior to the official launching of MWC.
