Seven special types of stones, including the red sandstone of Chunar, Makarana have been also used to construct this Dham. Major attractions of the complex include the main temple complex, located at 2100 sq ft, an extension of 29,000 sq ft. Bhogshala, Passenger Facilitation Centre, Spiritual Library, Mumukshu Bhawan, Vedic Centre, Multipurpose Hall, City Museum and Varanasi Gallery, etc., are also present in full splendour.

Why is Kashi special?

According to religious texts, Ved Vyas had first preached the four Vedas in Kashi itself. Here are the seven cities that give salvation. There are also five pilgrimages. The description of this area from the religious point of view is quite accessible. The seed of people’s faith has now been converted into a banyan tree.
