Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Mumbai Indians, who are returning after two years in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, will start the 11th season of T20 league, which will be played only on the old timings. IPL 2018 Schedule
The first match will be held on April 7 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, with which Superkings will be returning to the IPL, which was suspended for two years due to indulging in corrupt activities.
The venue of the Eliminator and other qualifiers has not yet been confirmed, while for the qualifiers one more final will be held at Wankhede Stadium on 22 and 27 May respectively. According to the schedule released on the IPL website, 48 matches will be played at night, while 12 matches will be postponed. The opening ceremony will take place in Mumbai on 6th April.

The BCCI has maintained the status quo at the time of the match, but some franchises are still trying to make changes in time with the broadcaster. In the 11th year of the tournament, the first double match will be on April 8, in which Delhi Daredevils have to host Kings XI Punjab, while Kolkata Knight Riders will host Royal Challengers Bangalore.
