The list of ICC Test Rankings 2021 has been released from the ICC Diary. Australia improved their rankings on the back of a stunning 4-0 win over England in the recently concluded Ashes series. England removed India from the top spot of the ICC Test rankings. The Virat Kohli-led side lost the Test series to South Africa, giving a 1-0 lead. Indian team slips to third place after losing Test series 1-2 in South Africa. New Zealand, winners of the inaugural World Test Championship, retained their second spot despite a 1-1 draw in the home series against Bangladesh. The hosts also suffered their first loss to Bangladesh in any format at home.

South Africa gained a place in the home series with a 2-1 win over India. If we do the same thing about England, then England’s team is in fourth place despite the disappointing performance of the series in Australia. Australia is 3 points ahead of India in the rankings with 119 numbers. Pakistan dropped a notch to the sixth position. Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, and Ireland have retained their positions.
