Increased deadline to add Adhaar Card to the pan

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for connecting PAN with the base to June 30. Earlier this deadline was March 31 but now it has been increased to 30th June. It has been said in the order that the timeframe for adding PAN-base is being increased for filing income tax returns.

It is believed that the latest order of the CBDT came due to the order of the High Court this month. The High Court had asked to extend the deadline to connect the Aadhaar with different types of services from March 31. This is the fourth time the government has extended the deadline to connect with PAN. The government has made it mandatory for filing income tax returns and issuing the Aadhaar numbers for taking a new pan.
