Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was elected the eleventh President Of India. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is famous in the country and abroad as Missile Man. Dr Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in a low-income family in a village called Dhanushkodi in the Rameswaram district of Tamilnadu state. Since childhood, Dr Kalam was very calm and serious but of a sharp mind. He was very fond of books, but he could not buy books due to a lack of money. Therefore, he used to take full advantage of the library.
Childhood Incident Of APJ Abdul Kalam
Once upon a time, APJ Abdul Kalam was a student of class four. The mathematics teacher was teaching; in the meantime, he saw Abdul Kalam being a Muslim, sitting on the first bench with a Brahmin caste student. The teacher interrupted Abdul Kalam and asked him to sit on the last bench. From that day onwards, Abdul Kalam had to sit on the last bench. Both Abdul and his friend felt sad about this. They felt for the first time discrimination based on caste or religion.
Abdul Kalam passed his graduation in science from St Joseph’s College in Tiruchirapalli and became the first graduate of the family. After that, he passed the examination of Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology and earned a degree. In his student life, Abdul Kalam used to go to see Ramlila. He used to watch every performance there very carefully. After that, Abdul Kalam used to consider him seriously.
How Dr Kalam Made Missiles?
The Once upon a time, he was watching Ramlila. The scene was that the fire of Shri Ram was destroying Ravana. In the end, Shri Ram killed Ravana. After the entire Ramlila was over, he got up from his place and went home. Coming home, Abdul Kalam was deeply worried. After much thought, he decided to make a modern weapon based on the working method of the arrow. Later missiles named Trishul, Agni, Nag, and Akash were developed under his supervision and operation. To be successful in life and earn pleasant results, one should pay attention to three major points. These points are desire, faith, and hope. Dr Kalam reached the highest peak only by using these three points as a coordinated force.
APJ Abdul Kalam also had to taste failure early in his career. He lost a wonderful opportunity to fly an airplane in a job. Disappointed by this incident, Abdul Kalam met Swami Sivananda. In front of him, he opened her inner feelings. Swamiji only said, “Accept what is written in fate. Considering the will of God, look to the future; perhaps the purpose of your existence is something else”. In this way, not getting discouraged by the failures.

Dr. Kalam continued his efforts. In the end, he also got success. While working in various positions in the Defense Department of the Government of India, Dr Kalam did many important works in missile technology. On the strength of their contribution in this field, China and Pakistan have also come under the Indian missile range. Today we too are capable of giving a befitting reply to our enemies.
In this way, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was continuously engaged in the service of the country in various forms. For his outstanding services, he was awarded the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 1997. He was elected the President of India on July 25, 2002. During his presidency, Dr Kalam called upon the countrymen to start a movement to establish their country in the category of developed countries. For this, the mind of the people has to be stirred. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam believes that by the year 2020, India will become a developed nation if we move forward by making efforts towards development jointly.
After retiring from the post of President in July 2007, Dr. Kalam was involved in Teaching And Grooming The Future Of Children of the nation. APJ Abdul Kalam passed away on July 27, 2015, at 7:45 pm, despite the medical team’s efforts.
