The digestive capacity of the body decreases during the rainy season. The chances of getting abdominal pain, cramps, diarrhea, cough, and cold increase in such weather. To avoid all this, take a little ginger, rock salt, lemon before meals. All this is done to increase the appetite. This increases appetite. Try to drink only boiled water in this season. Moong dal soup can also be beneficial. Try to avoid foods that taste bitter, pungent, and astringent.

Do not buy or use rotten, sore, cut fruits and stale food items in the monsoon season. Along with meat, eggs, and fish, the consumption of onions and garlic should also be reduced. This is the reason why people stop consuming meat, onions, and garlic during the Sawan (Hindi month). One must try to eat vegetables like suran, arbi, sweet potato. Use spices that are not cultivated, such as Patra (Alu), Lingri, Shevla, and Ambadi.
