When it comes to Make in India mission, then why only manufacturing and services? Indian Government wants to use Make in India operating systems as well. In a new development, it has been revealed that Indian Govt. may replace Microsoft Windows Operating System across all offices with their own, open source OS called Bharat Operating System Solutions (BOSS). For the last three months, vigorous testing was in progress, and the results are satisfactory. In fact, even Indian Army couldn’t break the code of BOSS. This week, a high level meeting will be conducted by Union Home Ministry, and a higher, advanced version of BOSS would be unveiled. In a Q+A session held at Facebook's headquarters in Menlo Park, California, founder Mark Zuckerberg has said the button would be a way for people to express empathy. He said Facebook was "very close" to having it ready for user testing. A "dislike" button has been constantly requested by some users since the introduction of the now-iconic "like" button in 2009. "People have asked about the 'dislike' button for many years," Mr Zuckerberg told the audience on Tuesday. BSNL will offer a minimum broadband speed of 2Mbps from October 1 onwards to its customers, at no extra cost. The company currently offers a minimum speed of 512kbps and the move is part of its efforts for revival. BSNL is losing customers in mobile as well as landline to private operators. The company lost about 1.78 crore wireless and over 20 lakh wireline subscribers between March 2014 and March 2015. The losses for the firm stood at Rs 7,600 crore. Launching the scheme here, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that BSNL should have frequent interface with customers and the efforts taken today by increasing the internet definition should help in digital India initiative, which is more for poor.
