Investigation Against Steve Smith and David Warner

Cricket Australia’s Head of Integrity Ian Rai and Team Performance Manager Pat Howard are going to Cape Town to investigate the case. Under the pressure of the Australian Sports Commission (AASC). Cricket Australia immediately removed Smith and Warner from rest of the series. In addition, the ASC Australia says that with Smith all those who were already aware of this incident should be removed. This step will be taken after the investigation of Cricket Australia.

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull described this incident as shocking and disappointing. He said, “We all got up today and heard this disappointing and shocking news from South Africa.” The Australian cricket team may be involved in this type of fraud, it looks beyond belief. Leader of Australia Turnbull said, “I talked to CA Chairman David a while ago. I have clearly explained to him that I am utterly frustrated and amazed by this incident. It is the responsibility of CA to deal with this matter. Hopefully, the board will take the right decision.
